Dungeon #112 has arrived

There's no reason to think that this will be the future of the magazine at all.

Except in the 'there is only DnD material' sense. And if you liked it for the non-DnD stuff, well duh, of course you won't renew. :\

Like I said, I know it's not fair to judge the future of the magazine on this one issue, but I guess my greatest disappointment with this issue is that is is just one big dungeon crawl.

If future issues consist exclusively of 4 or 5 dungeon crawls, I will most definitely be dropping my subscription.

If, on the other hand, they have a couple adventures (with a mix of urban, wilderness, and even dungeon crawls), along with interesting NPCs, organizations, game mechanics and creatures. Then I will consider renewing.

This is the best Dungeon magazine ever. The old style of adventure design is alive and well in Maure Castle, and it makes me realize that it's not just nostalgia that makes me long for all those old modules. They were great! That style of module writing and adventure design is simply not being produced, and that includes my own feeble attempts to emulate it in the Chronicles of Anyaka.

Maure Castle is an inspiration to me.

(Oh, and I'll be doing my personal best to get more FR modules into Dungeon ;) ).

Absolutely.

I bought this yesterday after reading the reviews even though I am a subscriber (which means I will get the July edition some time in late September or early October). I think this really is the best Dungeon I have read.

And a big welcome back to my favourite fiends, the nabassu...!

Done. You going to pick it up at the Game Day?

if i am able to go... actually, i could always make a point to show up that day and stay for at least a little while. we'll see. :)

i just realized there's a good likelihood i will be out of town on gameday visiting my sister. :( i will be there soon though, if you don't mind holding it for me. i would be willing to pay whatever shipping costs there are though, if that would be easier.
