DUNGEON #114 Map File Now Available

Hey Erik,

Wanted to say: Your efforts with the magazine have definitely won me as a subscription customer (till now an occasional impulse buyer - two or three issues/year max).

With respect to the online supplements, I too would prefer images (jpgs) and 'player friendly' versions (don't care about color vs B&W, or even if DM versions are included).

... But you're getting my business anyway... :)

Good work!

Great!! Thanks!!

I do think it a bit of a shame to shrink the nice Island of Dread map down to 8.5X11. But it is still a very nice bonus to have in PDF format. (Which I prefer to jpg)

Thanks Erik!

This is very nice and muchly appreciated. I love web enhancements - glad to hear the in mag art will go monthly. Nice touch.

(I actually was looking this past few weeks for a data projector after you ran the letter from the guy who was using them to project battle maps. GREAT idea and one I used with my old Zenith tri-col projector - albeit on the wall and not the table. $1,300 is a number my mind has yet to rationalize for a small data projector - but I'm chipping away at it!).

And by the way - after reading #114 - Kudos indeed to Jason Bulmahn for an excellent 1st level adventure with the "Mad God's Key". That was a real treat.

I'd be very pleased to see more from Jason!

Nice to see it, and it stands a good chance of netting some more sales. To quibble, the PDF format makes it hard to modify the maps for your own use. Unlabelled and/or black and white versions would also be more useful for some people, though it's too much to expect multiple versions of everything. And I hope we're still going to see the unlabelled Marsember map from #113 -- that would be a real service to the Realms.

Personally, I prefer this format. It allows me to print the map for reference as the DM. I'll use Dundjinni to create battlemaps of the areas I think players will be fighting in, thus, nothing else needed for me. BTW, the changes to Dungeon are what made me decide to renew my subscription. You are definitely steering the mag in the right direction!
