Thanks for the (mostly) positive response, folks!

For that reason we're unlikely to provide "player versions" of the maps. For the time being, I'm afraid you're going to have to do that yourselves.

That's cool. I can live with that. You asked for our feedback and I gave it.

I added the opening illustrations and blurbs to the file in hopes that someone who hasn't yet bought the issue might decide to give it a try after getting a taste of the adventures and the maps within. Here's hoping it works.

I like that alot. I hope that continues.

I think that the downloadable Map Supplements improve the value of Dungeon magazine.

I hope the plan to do a similar file for every issue from here forward works out and is available shortly after the magazine reaches my hands every month.

Thanks Erik.

Peace and smiles :)

Very cool. I love having printable maps. I can change them around for players and whatnot. I am quite happy with PDF format as it is simple to grab images and paste them into an image editor.

Using 8.5 x 11 PDFs for big maps would be fine if the maps were in a higher resolution. PDFs can be scaled easily if the underlying image is high enough resolution.

If you can add one thing, I would also like to see "player maps" but that would be a nice bonus, not anything I need.

Having said all that, how about putting a "Downloads" section on your web site? I don't automatically glance at the "News" section looking for downloads.

Also, I would still like to see an index of magazine contents (by item, race, class, etc...) or even just article.

Am I right that .pdfs can have layers in them? Maybe the text could be done in a separate layer inside the .pdf file so that folks could just turn it off to print out their own "Player" map right from the single file.

I know that Acrobat supports layers in the .pdf file, but I'm not a prepress guru so I couldn't even begin to tell how to make it work. Could this be made to work with just a little work?

I like the pdf downloads. I am impressed and pleased that they are now available. It's a good faith effort that I very much appreciate. Well done.
