today, however, i got a real big surprise.

okay, so who reads the advertisements.

found an ad in DUngeon 96 telling me if i subscribe i get the product in quotes above for free.

who knew?


edit: wouldn't be so funny except i've had a subscription since the late 80's. no other company i use gives the marketing stuff to existing customers. so i guess i like the ploy.

Hmm, does this also apply to the European subscription problems, i.e. nothing we do will ever get us the magazines we paid for? Was this the business plan you had in mind for the European market? In the short run, this will surely work, but I'm not so sure about the long run...

Unfortunately, I can't vote with my wallet in this case. I have already paid and don't see a way to get my money back....

For me the whole situation looks as follows. I subscribe to Poly (via RPGA) and to Dungeon. They merge, so I loose the money I already paid. Ok, I can live with that, althoug here in Switzerland the only reason to be part of RPGA was Poly....
Then suddenly, Dungen and Dragon stop coming, no real information about it. So it looks like I'll loose that money again. And there is now way to get the magazines here...

So European subscribers already have lost quite some money. Makes me wonder if American subscribers will be next...
