[Dungeon] Dungeon/Polyhedron Goes Monthly

I've never been much into Dungeon and so as a Greyhawk fan I was disappointed when I heard that the LGJ would be moving over to Dungeon. However the reduced price and a monthly, rather than bi-monthly edition means that at least I'll now consider buying the mag.
One thing I'd love to know, though, is how you go about distributing the mag to Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Here the magazines are around $18-20 and our wages are not that disimilar to America's so that's quite a hefty price to pay for a magazine. I'm guessing that you ship copies from America to Australia which is where a majority of the price increase (a straight USD $7.99 converts to roughly $14 AUD so there is a $4-6 AUD jump in the price) comes from. Wouldn't it be better to produce copies here? At a price point of around $12-14 AUD which could be achieved by simply printing copies here, your sales would increase considerably, IMO. I know I'd be much more likely to buy the mag.
Btw, have you ever considered dumping the entire Dungeon/Polyhedron name and split magazine concept and just combining the mags under one title with a format that is altered to reflect the combination? Your plan seems very convoluted which is no doubt due to having to cater to the different preferences of buyers but what, ultimately, are just cosmetic differences.

Well, I am not going to scream and yell or anything, I wish you the best of luck.
But here is why I don't like it:
Dungeon was a very nice $6 D&D mag. Then they added in Poly "for free". Ok, whatever.
Then they switch publishers and go, hey, we cant cover this at this price, and bump up the price by 33%.
Now they are knocking half the price increase back off, but doubling the frequency. Well, that sounds nice. But if the mag will alternate 2/3 dungeon and 1/3 dungeon, then I am still getting only 1 full dungeon every 2 months, but now I have to pay $14 to get what I use to pay $6 for.
If a lot of people really like the polyhedron stuff, then great. More power to you. I don't have the slightest hard feelings or sense that anyone owes me anything.

Hmmm, as a non-subscriber, and only occassional purchaser I can only say that it sounds good to me!
At $8 an issue I had stopped buying, but at $7 I will at least look at each issue before making my decision.

Hey, Johnny, I've got a question -
What about those of us who are currently "subscribers" because we had preexisting RPGA memberships? My Guild-level membership expires in 2004, and I was wondering if you'll continue sending me Dungeon/Poly until that time (as originally promised) or if you'll make some new arrangement.

I'm a bit confused about how the change for subscribers will work.
If I subscribed for one year to Dun/Poly at GenCon, and the changes happen in May, that means that I would have received one issue after that (July/August, following what would have been May/June), so my subscription would run out in June, plus the two issues, so it'll run out in...August...when it would have anyway...

Dungeon/Polyhedron is my favorite periodical. As much as I like Dragon (and I do like Dragon!!), I'm thrilled to hear that this will be going monthly. It's always such a long wait between issues. I'm also very pleased to hear about the support for the D20 mini-games and Star Wars. Yeah, the price is going to go up a bit, but its worthwhile.

does this mean the total amount of pages, if you combine the total between Dungeons and Polyhedron, will go down or will it stay the same?
