Fair enough, Erik. Thanks for your quick response to my question. I can spare the extra cash, anyway.

The new price went into effect today, and the difference in price will not be credited to current subscribers. It would have been smart to time the price change to the original announcement of the format change, but we had to pick a start date, and the debut of the new format seemed as good as any. When the subscription price has gone up in the past (and it almost always goes up, rather than down), we didn't make changes to existing subscriptions, so we decided to be consistent this time around. I realize it's a bummer for those people who have already subscribed, but I am certain you will find that your original subscription was a good value once you've had a year to reflect on the new format.

You do realize that all one has to do is cancel their subscription and then re-subscribe thus creating more paperwork and expense for your staff.
Now that's a new one. Most people are anti-Paypal and pro-credit card.Steel_Wind said:One thing - and I know its not necessarily *your* problem, but I'd be happy to subscribe; however, I have visited the Paizo site and you do not accept Paypal, only Visa or MC.
I am comfortbale with Paypal - I am not comfortable with Visa or MC on the net.

Then, there are also laws in most states, including your home state, dealing with price changes within 30 days of a purchase.
Considering the fact that I literally resubscribed 2 weeks ago (possibly less) all I need to do is call, cancel, and then re-subscribe in the same phone call. Personally, I'd suggest re-thinking your customer service on this one. Paizo customer service has improved greatly over what it was over a year ago but, quite honestly, it is still the worst I have ever seen for ANY magazine, ever. Yes, I was just dealing with your customer service, um, about 2 weeks ago. I am not the only one to have outrageous problems since Paizo took over the magazines.

That's a fact. We do online purchases with credit cards almost once a week. Never have I had any problems (okay, I tried to pay once with a card I'd cancelled, but that was my own stupidity). However, I have had a couple of attempted "identity thefts" from brick-n-mortar retailers. Fortunately, it's always been at someplace out of town that I was just passing through and I have a difficult to forge signature.Joshua Randall said:But y'all need to get a grip. Encrypted credit card transactions over the web are as secure as anything else. In fact, they're probably more secure than just using your credit card in a brick'n'mortar retail store or restaurant, where the pimply-faced teenage clerk could steal your CC number.
