Did you ever use the Dungeon Master's Adventure Log? Was it a useful tool for you?

Note: The poll on this post is concerning the main purpose of the DMAL – that is, for tracking PCs and adventures. There was other information in the book, like spellcasting costs and armor illustrations, but for this poll, please answer concerning only the adventure log function.

You can select multiple items in the poll.

Feel free to include in the discussion your thoughts on the other info and its usefulness.

Never used it, or anything like it.

Whenever I looked at those, they didn't seem like something that was going to be any better than my own notes were. They have some info in them as well to reference - as you mentioned - but I never found the desire/need for this/these myself as a DM.

---edit---

As a side note, I love the cover illustration - that feel that you are surrounded on all sides by crazy bad things deep in a dungeon is great ;)

I used it some, but not extensively (though not rarely, either). I found its PC tracking function to be a useful concept, so much so that I still use something like this for my games even today.

When I realized I was about to use up all the pages in the book, I started using photocopies of the PC tracking page. Once I could create pages on a computer, I did so, and constantly tweeked and updated my version, right up to today.

Looking at my PC sheet today, it looks different (especially being computer printed rather than hand printed), but you'd see essentially the same information presented.
What's REALLY fun is reading the entries from years ago.
Absolutely.

Yep, I love that, too. I wish I could play with/in such dungeons. But, alas, managerie dungeon crawls are all passe, today.

I didn't use it back in the day, largely because I didn't have it. The notes I used tended to resemble the Log.

If I were to run a 1e game now, I'd definitely use it.
