And yet again, Eric Noah gets the issue before we do.

I hope everyone enjoys their Italian Beef.

Now, to be fair this is the first time in a while I've gotten mine so freakishly early. And I'm positively lagging in the Dragon area.

BTW, who did the cartography for the Poly side of the mag? I couldn't find the info anywhere. The Delta Green maps look a bit Christopher West-ish to me...

FINALLY SOME FRICKIN SUPPORT FOR CALL OF CTHULHU. This game has been poorly supported and I had hoped that sometime at least Poly/DUngeon would do something with it. Poly needs it own magazine dang it.

An interview with Monte Cook, in which he discusses his Ptolus campaign, his years at WotC, Malhavoc Press, and new products. Of particular note is Arcana Unearthed: The Malhavoc Handbook, which is a 240-page hardcover coming out at GenCon, and designed to be a "variant Player's Handbook" with about a dozen new classes, all-new races, all-new spells, all-new feats, revised combat rules -- everything you'd need to run a variant D&D campaign. It looks like it will be an OGL (not D20-branded) product.
He also mentions a Malhavoc Handbook II, which will have monsters, magic items and apparently some setting-type information for filling out the "assumptions" made in the Arcana Unearthed book.

 :D :D :D

Now why couldn't this have been put out earlier. It's about time.

here we finnaly see the true test of the OGL. Monte's putting out his own version of the PHB which will (probably) compete with WOTC's own PHB.

Now we shall see what goes down and where on both sides of the fence. This could (and dare say might) topple the stronghold that the PHB has on people and instead dip over into the monte side of things...it had to come to pass and who better to do it than the guy that created it!!

3rd edition verision 2.0 coming up!

Chris West did the Delta Green maps. Chris Trevas did the GeneTech maps.

Along with some rules about races and classes and equipment are some rough campaign notes designed to get the PCs away from their former masters, into "civilization," and into adventures.

Do the rules about races include any new moreau types? I'd kind of like to update my ancient TMNT game, but I need stats for skunks and ferrets. (Actually skunks and martens, but ferrets would do.)
