Dungeon / Polyhedron.

It sounded like you represent Piazo in your previous post?

Do you? I know that the rest of the quote was correct but I am not sure of your affiliation with them.
I'm not an employee of Paizo, if that is what you're asking.

I'm just a devoted buyer of their magazines, even prior to Paizo when Wizards were handling them. Just last year, I picked up the first Dungeon/Polyhedron issue and loved every issues thereafter, only for the Poly side.

As for the scoop, it was old news and I'm simply a messenger to anyone here who haven't heard, perhaps those who woke up from winter hibernation. ;)

I, of course, really like the Polyhedron side of the magazine and wish it was separate from Dungeon. I don't use canned adventures in any of my games. Not out of any sort of arrogance, but because I feel like I've cheated my players if I don't have to put forth the effort to design an adventure that they have to put into playing it.

Also, the Poly stuff is fascinating to me. I may never use half of the stuff, but it's still an entertaining read. I may be a rare breed of gamer for this, but I often buy gaming and RPG books that I may never use because I find them entertaining. For example, on the whole I don't like White Wolf WoD stuff. However, I love a lot of the Werewolf backstory. Even though I have never played the game and probably never will, I've bought a lot of the books for the Werewolf line because I find them interesting.

Poly is a variety pack to Dungeon's D&D combo meal. I read the Dungeon side (and love the maps!) but I would not buy it if it were not for Polyhedron.

Oh, and I've got two articles in the next issue of Polyhedron, so I see it as a much more viable outlet than the D&D material where it often seems like it's hard to come up with something that hasn't already been done to death.

Yep, that was the question. I wasn't sure. I thought I might have missed something :D You can never tell around here. Take Moridin there, I remember him before he got famous and just strived to be the Nae'blis working for the Shadows after Zah'Dhuum (sp?). Now he is pimping stuff in Polyhedron.

Moridin is also the webmaster for SWRPGNetwork. Not only that, the last issue of Star Wars Gamer featured his first article submission with GM Sarli. So I do look forward to any more of his SWRPG articles in future Poly. (That is, if he's not too busy writing for Spycraft.) ;)

Since then, Rodney "Moridin" Thompson, have contributed or co-wrote a few Star Wars products, from Coruscant & the Core Worlds to the Ultimate Alien Anthology.

Actually, I didn't have a hand in the Ultimate Alien Anthology. But thanks for the kind words, REG. I am currently working on another Star Wars project, though.

Hey, I told everyone last year when we won that ENnie that I was the Next Big Thing. Just wait till you guys hear what I've been up to since then! I've got projects and stuff in the works that I can't even talk about.

As for Polyhedron/Dungeon, don't expect this next issue to be the last you see my stuff in the mag. I've got several more articles in the pipe for future issues.

Yup - minigames are great. Going to be using the Spelljammer minigame in my main campaign for a little while (putting exisiting charatcers into a 'spelljammer' adventure). At leats I hope it goes that way :D

I really do need to get a subscription as I buy pretty much every issue at the game shop as it is I might as well save some money!

Still the best buy for your gaming dollar.

My bad. It just occurred to me you did some work on the upcoming Hero's Guide.

As for the combined magazine, I have stated my personal desire, but I'm not complaining about it. All I ask is that Poly still put out mini-games and support articles for Star Wars and d20 Modern.

I only flip through the Poly side of the magazine. I've never yet seen a minigame that interested me. I frequently find stuff in Dungeon though. And this adventure path series really looks to have potential.

I'll probably let my Dragon subscription lapse, since I don't really find that much useful in it, but Dungeon? I'll be forking over the cash for that one for a long time to come.

Buttercup we must think alike.
Exactly the same for me.

Ever since 3.0 came out I used to buy every issue of Dragon and Dungeon, but have now stopped buying both. I have no use for the Poly side of Dungeon and the new price increase means that for what I want the cost per page now equals stand alone modules in price. Combined with the fact that I have lost most of my respect for Pazio for its handling of Dragon content and insensitivity to it customers I have decided to spend my money elsewhere. In response to complaints we were told directly by Pazio that if we don't like what they are doing we don't have to buy their product, so I am no longer buying thier product. The good news for other more consumer friendly d20 companies I now have more money to spend on them.

AFAIC, they have been very friendly to my comments and response. Of course, if I were in their shoes and someone like you add to your grievance about my intelligence or what part of the third-world country my mother is from, and if I took that much load of craps every day, yeah, I would be unhinged and go postal.

Actually, I buy a gun. What can I say? I failed Anger Management.
