I just saw this at my local bookstore and was amazed at how dinky it is. A 64-page hardcover? For $19.99? Are you kidding me? Lame.

Very lame indeed. It's mostly pictures and large text, I was horrified.

I wouldn't say they've jumped the shark. They're in reruns. The new season will return next year.

Paizo has a 1 out of 5 rating for it so far, but I think 1 is as low as the scale can go.

I had this on pre-order on Amazon until I started seeing the previews. Quickly cancelled it as it appears to be a book about... well, nothing. I was talking to the owner of my flgs a couple of days ago and he said that he wasn't even going to bother stocking it.

I ordered this along with Practical Guide to Dragons and Practical Guide to Monsters. My 12 year old son will enjoy all of these.

I was looking at it to buy it for my just turned 12 year old and passed. It really is not worth it.

I was in one of my local gaming stores yesterday and they had a special "What was WotC thinking sale" on this book -- 30% off already. I looked at it and decided that 30% off wasn't enough.

Me too. But then again it was only 13.50 or so, I don't feel that bad about it. Maybe it will be an entertaining read.
