Duration of commanding undead

Was a definitive answer ever obtained on how long an evil cleric can command undead (ie, via a turn/rebuke check)? I think it was indefinite duration; is this correct?

If you successfully command undead with a rebuke attempt, you control them until they are destroyed, until someone wrests control from you with a rebuke attempt, or until you control more than your HD limit allows, at which time the first undead you commanded are released until you have enough HD for the newest recruits.
