Duskblade: 1st two feats

Power Attack is a must, given the Gish archetype.

Consider Ability Focus (Arcane Channeling) to bump up the DCs of your touch attacks through your weapon.

It would be valid but useless. The touch spells don't have DC's to save for from the standard Duskblade list. This would only be considered for multiclassed Duskblades.

Thanks all!

For some reason I hadn't really considered the power attack/cleave combo, and it seems a pretty obvious choice now that I think about it. Attack with a charge+power attack, channel a spell, see if I can smite the next guy also with cleave... duh.

For defense, I'll probably just grab a masterwork buckler and fight defensively for a round or so while my allies do some damage.

Thanks again!

I'm thinking this would be an awesome combo at 1st level to drop a BBEG:

1st round: Cast True Strike, close within maneuver range
2d round: Swift cast Blade of Blood, close, full power attack.

Burn 5 hp, and an 18 str 1st level duskblade with a greatsword could do 5d6+8 points of damage with an almost guaranteed hit (though it cost 5 hp and two spells).

In the mournlands, burning hp for an attack is probably a bad idea.

Two words for any Wizard in the Mournlands: Rope Trick.

Look into Mobile Spellcasting later on.

Round one: Double move and true strike
Round two: Blade of Blood, Shocking Grasp, Power Attack for BAB

From memory:

Touch of Fatigue
Chill Touch
Ghoul Touch
