Dwarven Defender AC Bonus

In the Dwarven Defender's table, there is a column labelled AC Bonus. However, this is not explained anywhere in the text. Is there errrata or FAQ-age about this? I couldn't find any. What type of bonus is it? When (if ever) does he lose it? Why isn't it included in the epic progression?

My understanding is that it is like the Monk AC bonus. Its basically un-named, so stacks with anything. I am pretty sure that he gets it even in any kind of armour.

That's what I assumed, but I was wondering if there was any definitive rules text on it. ...and still, why isn't it included in the epic progression, it obviously has a set pattern to it.

The problem is that the epic dwarven defender, as written, would be too powerful if the AC bonus continued to add on... it's balanced as though the bonus wasn't there. I'm curious if this is ignorance or an intentional omission (in which case a sidebar with DMG errata would be appreciated).

Once the errata for the Epic Rules comes out, the Epic Dwarven Defender should get his AC bonus back. I think it was just an oversight. The Epic Designers did not want to change any classes.

I'm not sure on it being too powerful. I mean, at first blush, yeah, I was like "damn, that would be too powerful, I guess it's a good thing".... but the more I think about it. At character level 30, a DD would get +7 to his AC. Damn good, right? Well, yeah, but epic is all about really powerful guys. And what is an extra +7 AC at level 30?

I don't know... since I haven't played epic, I don't know how good that is... but given that at level 30, wizards are throwing around two quickened-for-free spells per turn... I don't think it's all THAT powerful.
