Dwarven Forge Mastermaze

re: Worldworks. I would mention that -as far as cost goes- the price of the cardstock and inkjet cartridges is still low compared to MasterMaze. The folding scenery does take time to make, but it's not really that hard and if you need more, you just reprint those sections! :D

Just to offer a contrasting view, I say go for the Dwarven Forge. You don't need enough to build a whole dungeon, just an area where combat's taking place. And if you order enough sets, Stefan will send you some free stuff, most likely!

Tom

Where did you get that bear fig?

I have both, and if you are:

* On a budget

* Have some spare time

* Have some space

I'd say WorldWorks. Denny does great work.

Not to say I regret the Master Maze stuff, there is nothing like it's quality. If you have some money, definitely pick up a Room and Passage Set or two. It'll serve you well. Actually, if you have the money, you could probably buy both. WorldWorks is dirt cheap to buy, but the printing is expensive. You can go through a $30 ink cartridge after building a fair number of buildings.

One cool think about World Works is that he gives you terrain sheets that he suggests you mount on poster board. He calls it a Masterboard or something like that. It looks great when done, I've done about 5 myself. But it also increases your ink usage.

Just bump around the WorldWorks site - it's great.

The Mage knight scale should make little to no difference becasue you can easily translate each square to 5' and not worry about the 1" is five feet. Similar to the examples in 3.5 Combat.

I have alot of DF stuff, very nice. Worth it if you can afford it. But very addicting. You can't stop once you start........

I believe this might be a Miasma from the Shadowrun line that Ral Partha put out.

Partha went out of business but you can find their minis from Ironwind Metals. Their site is still under construction but you can take a look here.

They also have PDF catalog you can look through to try and find the miniature.

Yep. That's the one.

I had to add that stablizing bar to keep it from falling over in play, but otherwise it's a good piece.
