E1: Tomb of Chaos [Judge: Patlin] [Concluded]

Percy

"OK. It's OK, Nestiphae. It's OK. We'll take care of you. Here. I want you to tell Gorefoot where you're from & how you got here. Gorefoot actually knows a lot about gnomes. Say 'hi' Gorefoot. Nars, go ahead & check that inside door. Ishmael, I want to make sure our back is secure before we continue, come on."

Percy puts a hand on Ishmael's shoulder and steers him back into the hallway, and gently pushing Rodimus into the room. Out of sight of the gnome, Percy leans down and whispers into Ishmael's ear. "I know that you are able to see the darkness in the hearts of men. What do you think of our new friend?"

Nestiphae is hesitant but climbs out of her box and sits quietly talking with Gorefoot. It seems that her family was a merchant family who was always on the move. The caravan had been heading back towards Orussus from the distant lands of Sairundan when it was attacked by the gnolls. Most of the caravan including her family was killed by the gnolls. They took her and a few others prisoner, though she hasnt seen any of the others. This was about a day or two ago. She is visibly upset and breaks down into tears when she relates the events that lead to her family's deaths.

[sblock=Sir Ishmael]You feel that this young gnome is telling the truth, though were you to use your Divine Intuition it would indicate: [sblock=Divine Interrogation]that she is evil, evil, evil.[/sblock][/sblock]

Nars from your knowledge of engineering and stone work one look at the familiar door tells you that it leads back out into the hallway and was the first untrapped but stuck door that you choose to pass by. (see map).

Upon finding the living gnome, Nars is a bit surprised. "I'm, er, not gonna hurt you," he is finally able to get out. Fortunately Percy is there to calm the poor girl down.

"This door, ah, just goes back, ah, to the hall."

OOC: I guess we really need to wait on Ishmael advice on this one, but splitting up is usually a bad idea. Percy, in particular, doesn't like to go anywhere w/o Gorefoot.

OOG: Go off to play WoW for a few hours and look what happens...

[sblock] I Guess by "Evil evil evil" you mean greater than a faint emanation of Evil. If this is the case...[/sblock]

Ishmael is a little shocked by Percy's advice, but then, he's always considered her to be better in the ways of wisdom than he. He moves his gaze toward the young Gnome, looking around the corner if need be.

He activates his Divine Inquisition ability and, after a few moments of focus, his eyes widen and he mutters (edit)"This creature may not what it seems to be. Evil dwells within its heart, but not all Evil creatures are deceitful beings."

[sblock=Sir Ishmael]Not quite super evil, forgot that there were levels to detect evil. She would rank a detect as faint actually. Apologies for the misleading information. Do you still want to say 'reeks of shadow'?[/sblock]
(everyone: this post contains more accurate information for nimisgod's divine interrogation. please wait a moment before responding to the post above.)
