Gorefoot stands at the approach of his companions, and lets out of of his rarely seen smiles. When he sees Ishamael's appearance, his smile is replaced by a suspicious frown. He looks at the deep halfling and asks, "Ishmael?"

Ishmael matches Gorefoot's gaze, though he is a little perturbed by the Gnome turned Halfling's suspicion. His voice is deeper, with a slight rumbling tone. "Aye, 'tis only Ishmael. The removal of the curse... did not go as expected"

There is a slight tinge of blue upon Ishmael's skin as well as a rich color of gold in his eyes. Perhaps what draws the most attention is the short jagged horn that juts from the middle of his forehead.

Percy decides to explain, in case Ishmael is embarrassed. "It is our same friend Ishmael. He seems to have got some dragon curse. I"m sure he'll be OK." She glances at him nervously. "Our interview with the Sage, Atterwood, went well. He agreed to take care of Novrne and paid us cash for the treasures we brought back. Here's what we got and what we have. He's loaned us the wagon. He paid us 4185 GPs for our loot. That's not including, er, this ring." Percy shows it to the party, but doesn't comment further.

"We then bought the following

500 5 pearls
110 everburning torch
100 5 alchemfires - Percy hands one to each party member
10 20 days trail rations
10 bottle of fine wine
150 gps - remove curse on Ishmael
880 gps total leaving 3305 gps to split at this point.

So, Nezrak, can you identify the other magic items we haven't returned to him? There's an amulet 6 bolts, and a map that are magical. I think we know what my ring does.

And, so boys," she says to Nars, Nezrak and Gorefoot with a smile. "What happened while we were gone?"

At Ishmael's acknowledgment and Percy's explanation, Gorefoot nods his head and the frown and suspicion disappear. With Gorefoot's reincarnation, Percy's temporary fey transformation, and now Ishmael's appearance, he's come to realize that their outward appearance can change quite drastically.

When Percy asks what they've been up to, Gorefoot says, "Well, we dug out a bunch of blue gems from up there. Nars has them, I think." He points to the statues towering above the entrance.

"Hmm, strange," is all Nars has to say about Ishmael's condition. He shows the rest the gems. "It was, er, quite safe," he says with his eyes slightly downcast.

"So you saw some gems in that statue and climbed up there & dug them out. Sounds good." Percy smiles brightly. "How about that librarian? Have you talked to him since we left? And are we ready to keep exploring? Let's finish exploring these last four doors, then load up our wagon. I guess we'd start on the two doors near the king's chamber."

(ooc: okay looks like we are ready to head back in. Remind me of party order and such and whether you want to try the door on the right or the one on the left and we'll go from there)

Percy will now carry the everburning torch. They'll pull the wagon into the first big room if possible and tie up the horses. They don't expect to be too long. Nars and Gorefoot can take the lead. Percy and Nezrak will follow, and Rodimus and Ishmael can take the rear. They'll try the door on the left.

With Percy's light illuminating the way, the party makes its way back down the corridor to the left, past the unopenable door to the secret hall. Moving down the hall they pass through the hall of the horse and into the final corridor. They progress past Novrne's room to the next set of doors.

The door on the left is a heavy copper door. A heavy patina has left the delicate surface of the door warped and dark green. What once might have been intricate carvings of noble guardians is now warped and twisted limbs and faces. Nars is unable to find any traps or locks on the door, but it is stuck.

Opposite this door is a larger double door also made of copper. These doors are covered with ancient bas-reliefs. The decorations show women and children strewing flowers over a path that leads to an empty throne. By the throne, the reliefs show crouching men holding up pitchers of wine and baskets of bread and fruit. The doors are bowed outward slightly towards the bottom and faint noise issues from behind them. This door is not trapped (according to Nars), nor is it locked or stuck.
