E1: Tomb of Chaos [Judge: Patlin] [Concluded]

[Round 1, Cont']

Ishmael casts his spell and steps towards King Toth.

Nars attempts to trip King Toth but is unsuccessful. Felhammer, however, is much more successful. King Toth looks shocked as the cold iron weapon hammers home, crushing bone.

Percy casts magic missile, 3 purple missiles slam into King Toth.

Gorefoot moves forward in the darkness to engage Syl'r. Unfortunately, in the shadowy darkness he misses the robed patriarch.

Rodimus grabs his opponent and squeezes. Grabbing hold, the King's skin seems covered in a caustic sticky substance that burn's Rodimus' flesh. His own powerful hold is ineffective at hurting the King.

[sblock=ooc]Sorry no map update again. King Toth is in front of Rodimus towards the wall. Nars is where he is in the picture above. Ishmael has moved into position. The blackness now encompasses the area in between the altar and party, engulfing the middle front two (but not Rodimus). Gorefoot has moved up to stand next to Syl'r.

Crit was successful. Nezrak is up.

Damage Recap:
Rodimus 18/42 remaining.
Syl'r 21/37
Chaos 47/66

His hands freed, Ishmael lets loose with a deadly blow, the divination allowing him precision accuracy and a modicum of defense.

OOG: Full power attack + Fighting Defensively
Attack Roll: 1d20+20=31
Damage (Magic, Bludgeoning): 1d6+12=15

Nezrak casts Shocking Grasp and moves to touch the creature, but probably misses (6 before other possible bonuses such as flanking, Damage 20).

[Round 2]

Nezrak moves around the other combattants to reach King Toth. Stepping into a space threatened by both King Toth and Syl'r is dangerous for most casters, but Nezrak is able to cast defensively to avoid opening himself to his enemies. His touch, however, is unable to connect.

King Toth Nekamek, grappled by Rodimus and surrounded by Ishmael, Nars, and Nezrak, smiles a fetid toothy grin and disappears.

Syl'r, still invisble, is almost impossible for Gorefoot to find in the darkness. Mumbling to Gorefoot's left indicates that someone is casting within a few feet.

Gorefoot
Rodimus

[sblock=ooc]Sorry no map update, I'll post one tomorrow. King Toth is no where to be seen. Syl'r is somewhere near Gorefoot, invisible. The globe of 'shadowy illumination' still covers most of the centre of the room including all heroes but Percy.

Damage Recap:
Rodimus 18/42 remaining.
Syl'r 21/37
Chaos 59/66

Ishmael sees his opportunity disappear and screams in frustration. He strikes the place where King Toth used to be in the vain hope that he's still there.

Rodimus growls as the slimy adversary slips away from his hold. He tries to actively listen for the movements of either of the two.
