E2: The Secret of Gemhold [Patlin Judging]

Rodimus wonders whether he should admit being weakened by the poison, but comes to the conclusion that he needs healing more than he needs to fear being backstabbed.
"Much poison in blood. Weakens."
The monk waits to see if the drake will appear (delay).

"Poison? Oh! I'm sorry, but that beyond my power to neutralize it, but I can heal the damage... but it would wait for tomorrow. I didn't thought a Drake could use poison, so I didn't ask Russna to gives me power related to that." Tells Ridik, keeping his spell ready.

[Round 3]

Rodimus delays.

Nezrak delays, remaining beside Percy.

Nars readies an action.

Gorefoot jumps down and crushes the silly shreiking mushrooms to tiny piecies.

Nars hears a soft intake of breathe just down the corridor just before the female ambush drake breaks into a run across the battlefield. Ready for such a move, Nars steps into it's path and attacks with Felhunter. He misses, but he has managed to stop its charge. The creature's open mouth belches forth a conic cloud of putrescent green gas. Nars feels it slow his reflexes. Percy, Nezrak, and Ridik are also caught in the blast, but only Ridik fails to hold his breathe and feels his muscles slow.

~action paused: those who delayed can go here before Percy if they like~

Percy

Ridik

[sblock=ooc]NPCing Nezrak for the delay, he'll most likely fire something offensive.

"The mushroom are alreday dead? Well, I'm a bit slow to react it seems... well, it teh drake is here, he will surely come with all that noise." tells Ridik as he ready to cast Doom on the Drake as soon as he appears.

OOC: Any reason why my ready action didn't triggered?

Percy figures they can probably take this thing down pretty quickly. She releases her grip on her spear with her right hand, and lifts it towards the drake. "Purple Fire!" she hisses as jets of violet light shoot from her fingers.

OOC: Cast magic missile at the drake. 10 dmg

Spell count: 6/8/6/4 per day. Used light, magic missile(x2), mage armor(on rodiumus)

Nars feels his strength drain. He has been expecting it, but that made it no less discouraging. Looks like the others are mostly ok at least. He tries to hold his ground, cautiously moving around the beast while keeping it at bay with his blade.

OOC:
Five foot step toward a flanking direction, then single attack.
If he is reaches flanking this round, standard attack: Attack: +11, Dmg: 4d6+3, AC 20
If he does not reach flanking, expertise and fight defensively: Attack: +1, Dmg: 1d6+3, AC 27
Above does not include penalties for slow.

ooc: Round 2 Ridik cast bless, round 3 he was going to ready an action but the drake moved before his initiative. I was going to have him cast it when it got down to his initiative.

[Round 3 Cont]

Nezrak and Percy cast their magic missiles at the drake, but only Percy's manages to bypass the creature's innate resistance to magic.

Ridik casts Doom on the drake, which seems to have worked.

Rodimus, unwilling to let the silly mushrooms get to him, charges the living target eager for something to beat on. He comes it an angle that will allow Nars to get around and flank it soon. His fist connects and deals a solid hit.

[Round 4]

Gorefoot follows Rodimus in and cleaves into the side of the drake, inflicting a gaping wound.

Nars steps to the side and manages to find a weak spot in the creature's exposed flank.

The drake steps to the side out of flanking towards Rodimus' right. Then turns and bites the monk. The hit is almost devastatingly critical, but Rodimus manages to twist to avoid the worst of it at the last moment. The half-orc is lucky this time as his system manages to stave off the effects of the drake's poisonous bite.
