E2: The Secret of Gemhold [Patlin Judging]

Nars leads the way onwards though Ridik has the niggling feeling that he missed something when he checked Rodimus' wounds. ~poison~ thinks the little goblin as he remembers the strange discoloration around the half-orc's wounds. Meanwhile Nars leads the group into a large cavern with a central pillar blooking most of his sight from the further reaches. Another passway breaks off from the left.

Looking back Nezrak notices that the northern passage (the way the beast did not come from) looks like it has partially caved in.

"Hmm... Rodimus, I think you should let me check that wound again. Those mushroom have use some kind of poison on you I think. The problem with poison, it is it take some time to your body to get rid of it, and the poison can still act on you. I am not very familiar with all those poisons, but I might be able to do something so the poison doesn't do more damage before your body get rid of it... I am quite sure you don't want to get weaker." whispers Ridik.
 

OOC: Do they red spots on the map indicate anything?

IC: "Nars, perhaps we should check out that caved in passage behind us before proceeding. I don't like leaving something behind us." suggests Percy.
 

Hoping the partial cave in will protect their back, Nars leads the group deeper into the cave. He moves to the left (east) passage and peeks around the first bend.
Nars begins to slip further into the cave, but stops at Percy's suggestion. He instead moves back to the caved in passage to see what he can see, and checking the cave in for stability. He reports back what he finds and if a climb is required, suggests that Gorefoot could do it more safely than himself.
 


Checking Rodimus' wounds, Ridik confirms his suspicion, poison does still flow through the half-orc. (ooc: 2 poison saves coming up in t-minus 2 rounds)

Nars moves back to double check the caved in portion and discovers that yes the tunnel has caved in and is completely blocked now. It looks unstable so he doesnt try to clamor over the rubble to poke around.

(ooc: Velmont is right, the blood = recent drake meals)
 

Ridik grabs Rodimus firmly, trying to stop him where he is. "Don't move, I'll try to remove the poison... I'm not very use to that, but I'm sure I can't get that worst, so it worth trying." Ridik then try to extract what remain of poison in the wound.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Ridik try to make an healing check against the poison. The first roll he do is against teh poison that attack Con... Con poison Heal check: 20, Str poison Heal check: 6. Probably got the Con one, but not the Str one... Rodimus will need to save against the second one.

Edit: Made an error, it was +3, not +4 to my heal check (untrained), that's why IC tells the result are 1 higher than what I have written.[/SBLOCK]
 


Ridik is able to remove the effects of the poison, Rodimus' body fighting off the weakest remaining effects.

ooc: each poison was 1d4str/1d4con, but Ridik's first check was successful, then Rodimus made his fort save for the other one.

Heading into the big cave? Moving to the side passage? or up to the stalagmite to check out the rest of the big room?
