D&D General Eastern Dragons in 5e

Who else would make a list of 35 brightly colored dragons with special magical powers?

Mod Note:
We wouldn't allow you to make fun of peple of a given race based on stereotypes. One wonders by what logic you figured that doing it to autistic folks would be okay.

Poking fun at the behaviors of folks that they don't really choose is pretty lame. Don't do it, please.

I also want the carp that turns into a dragon as I like the determination those guys have.
Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms has a dimorphic race known as the Tatsumi who start out resembling anthropomorphic Koi (the Nishikin) and can undergo a transformation into a Dragonborn-like race (the Ryujin).

Here's an excerpt from the book:

Whereas some races display obvious sexual dimorphism— females being larger, males being more colorful—what separates the two categories of Tatsumi is experience. All Tatsumi are born as Nishikin, aquatic fish-folk with an appearance not dissimilar to the revered Koi. After a moment of life-changing significance—for example, a great tragedy, achieving a lifelong goal, or a moment of epiphany—that Tatsumi undergoes an overnight transformation. Much as a koi fish becomes a koi dragon when the former leaves this world, a Ryūjin emerges from this metamorphosis. A physically and physiologically different creature stands in the Nishikin’s place, with the features and magic of their draconic ancestors fully realized.

You know, not as much (although it is excellent).

I took me a minute, but he's too human. If the musculature was other than "buff human" that would be interesting. I appreciate it, but it doesn't inspire like the other one. It's the clothes, their cut, the different weapon, the little runes that match on the seals and the weapon, the color match between the epaulets and the sword's metal. It's the difference between a badass and a man with a history.

Although I can imagine this one shaking his head and muttering "you had one job. Just get the damn scroll. How could you screw up a simple fetch-quest?" sighs :)

If Eastern Dragons were brought back to 5e D&D, what would everyone like them to be?
If I recall correct, they are officially present in 5.24, and the depictions are typical and regional. The appearance of individual Dragons can vary significantly.

I don't believe I have seen any of the traditional Asian-inspired D&D dragons in 5e24 yet. We have the gold dragon, but that is a different discussion. Where did you see these dragons?
