Eberron Art? Looking for a character portrait.

reveal

Adventurer
I know Eberron just came out, but does anyone have any good sites for Eberron artwork?

I'm looking for a character portrait for a Shifter Monk/Soulknife (in "normal" form not in animal form). Can anyone point me to a site that might have something that would fit my character?

Thanks! :D

I was thinking about doing some Eberron character portraits for fun in the next week or so. I'll see if I can help you out. If anyone else has suggestions for character types they'd like to see, I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks! I will post a description here later tonight. If you like it, use it. If not, I'll take anything you put up. You do VERY good work. :D

Here is my character if you want to use him as a sample.

Atty
Shifter Monk 1/Soulknife 1
S 14, D 16, C 14, I 12, W 15, C 6
Fights unarmed and with his Mind Blade at the same time

Atty grew up in a village of Shifters in the Eldeen Reaches. The Shifters distrusted humans and kept mainly to themselves, sometimes trading with other Shifters and Halflings who lived in the Reaches.

Atty was a natural hothead, constantly getting into trouble because of his temper. At an early age, he learned that he could manifest a blade of pure energy protruding from his closed fist. This ability earned him the nickname “psycho” as the other young Shifters picked on him and his psionic ability, an ability that was even more distrusted than humans.

When he was 22, his life changed forever. One of the local boys had pushed him too far. Of course, to Atty, “too far” meant he looked at him wrong twice that day. As Atty approached, the boy took a defensive stance, causing Atty to do the same. Atty meant to just punch him in the face but his rage took over and, just as he made contact, his blade manifested itself, cutting the boys head in two.

Atty was put on trial for murder. He was found guilty and banished from the village. He was forced to wander the world, trying to find some direction and, hopefully, not kill anyone else on accident.

3 years of wandering brought him to the doors of a monastery dedicated to Dol Dorn. There, he learned to control his rage and not shift the first time he became angry in a day, which was usually at breakfast.

After a couple of years at the temple, he left, trying to find his own way.

Description: Atty is 5’5” 130lbs. He is short and stocky. His long hair is wild and braided, almost like dreadlocks; dark brown and messy. The hair on his body is very coarse and thick. His darkly tanned skin, in combination with his thick hair, makes his body look almost black. His face has very feline features. His ears are set back and look like a cats. When he gets angry, they lay flat on his head in a threatening gesture. His eyes are dark green and almond shaped. He wears little to no clothes, relying on his animal like instincts and monastic training to keep him safe.

Did a little pen sketch while I was watching TV tonight. He's a little more clothed than your description...

I'm going to try and come up with a few more designs that I like and then do some "finished" drawings. I'm probably going to focus on the new races (shifters, changelings, warforged, etc.) and maybe some of the "wild" halflings. Glad you like it so far.

I told my wife you it was a "little pen sketch" you drew "while [you] were watching TV..."

She said she wished she had that much talent. If she did something like that, it would be a stick figure with little triangles for teeth and wavy lines for his "wild" hair. ;)

Some doodles of warforged concepts I'm working on. Two monks, a master inquisitive and a random bulked-up head:
