Eberron: Buying?

I was thinking about buying it, but I never use the Forgotten Realms books, I like my own worlds, so why should I buy this one?

Besides, I am still bitter that they didn't pick my world for consideration for the contect, no, they had to go with an established artist. Where is the fun in that?

pre-ordered...waiting...hoping
KoK, Scarred Lands, and Forgotten Realms have too many high level NPCs. And while I love Greyhawk, it too needs to have its superpowers trimmed so the PC shines.
Ebberon looks to fit that bill and fulfill my gamers' wishes for stuff from Earthdawn.

I'm getting this book as soon as my FLGS gets the book in.....taking them forever and ever....

and I do sincerely hope that this supplants FR as the top dog in D&D fantasy settings. No more Drizzt clones, no more Elminster wannabes...it's about time.

I've just ordered it and the XPH from Amazon. I won't be running it personally, I'm hoping to ambush my best mate who runs excellent campaigns into doing it. He has had a very busy life over the last couple of years (setting up a professional LRP company) but once it's up and running I think he will be temptable.

Yes. I am sick and tired of FR, having played for the last 10 years in it. Time for some much needed CHANGE.

But I don't think I will be playing in it per say. I will much more likely pick up the good bits that interest me and plug them in my modified Midnight World.

You just gotta love the good things coming out these days!!!
