True. Of course, in this case, as multiple posters have pointed out, changelings can't actually mimic clothing.

Uh... yeah... I know that... That was the point of my post, to see if there was any additional ways to increase the power of their change shape ability, because the base changeling race can't force his clothes to change with his appearance...

Cabinet Trickster comes close, but I don't see where it specifically mentions that when you gain the "improved" Change Shape ability, that your clothes will change with it. Since it doesn't specifically mention it, I don't think it can... Which is weird, since you actually change size. If you are Medium sized and change into a Gnome, suddenly your clothes don't fit you anymore...

Looks like magic items (such as Hat of Disguise) is the way to go...

Just dress in layers that are easy to shed when need be, thus allowing for different "outfits" on the fly. The thing i always found most troubling about the ability was that it mentions no effect on voice. If I'm going to look like a gnome, I'd better speak gnomish (covered by speak language as class skill), sound like a gnome, including correct regional dialect (NOT covered), and have typical gnomish mannerisms and body language (NOT covered). I'd like to hear suggestions for the latter two. The best solutions i could think of were either Bluff or Perform: Acting, and possibly Knowledge: Local. But a feat or magic item would be nice.

Access to the Prestidigitation spell (via class ability, or the Night Haunt feat) can be of great use as well - change the color and pattern of your clothes. You can't change the cut, but you can change the appearance easily enough.

As for PrCs, aside from the clothing issue:

Cabinet Trickster.

Well, my main reason for the question is when you want to mimic a specific person. You need to change into what they were wearing, so adding extra layers of clothing (a good option) would not help in this instance.

Fortunately whenever we needed to impersonate a specific person, we were able to subdue them before hand, "borrow" their belongings, and have the party's Changeling put them on and then shape change. I am just worried about those instances when we need to impersonate someone and subduing them/stealing their clothes is not an option.

Other than the language itself, those are actually theoretically rolled into Disguise: "Synergy: If you have 5 or more ranks in Bluff, you get a +2 bonus on Disguise checks when you know that you’re being observed and you try to act in character."

Being able to bluff helps, but it's not the be-all end-all of disguise.

As for the clothing, you could try, say, a Fabricate from the party Wizard.....
