[Eberron] How well would Monsternomicon fit in the setting?

Hi. I read some reviews of the monsternomicon and came away very impressed. I think that it would have some good ideas for Eberron, but not totally sure. What do you all think?

Decently well, I think. There's definately a different tack to the magitech aspects of Iron Kingdoms and Eberron, though. In Eberron, magic is sufficiently advanced to mirror technological developments of Earth (like long-distance communication, air travel, etc). In IK, it's technology that has really come into the fore. Magic is an exotic and distant force, and the gods are decidedly more involved and more capricious with the setting than in Eberron.

That said, there's a lot of possible parallels. Lots of constructs could be Cannith experiments, some of them gaining the living construct subtype - Deathjack might fit in nicely for a super-powerful Lord of Blades. The gobbers present an interesting way to do urban slum goblins like those in Sharn if you really think they need to have seperate statistics in addition to culture. Some of the magical beasts and aberrations make good Xen'drik fodder or could populate the Mournlands if you want it to have some sort of bizarro ecology (as I do, as opposed to it being a total dead zone). And there's a lot of cool monsters in there besides.

It's not a perfect fit by any means, but with a little adaptation the Monsternomicon makes an excellent addition to the Eberron creature lineup.

Demiurge out.

I agree. For the most part, you just need to change the flavor a bit (move away from technology and more towards magic) and maybe tweak the occasional mechanic. Other than that, it' s a good fit.
