Aw, man, am I tired of people thinking that "morph" means "change". It just means "shape".

So what would you call something that merely takes the shape of a Dragonmark?

You could go with "metamorphic". That's the word that got people confused about "morph" to start with. Also, "mutable" is a good one. And the word "protean" is both appropriate and awesome-sounding.
