[Eberron] Suspicions about Dal Quor

I think part of the Path of Light is that you can influence how Dal Quor will be reborn. So, sure the next set isn't for sure a Good Place, but you can push it that way by pushing the Path of Light.

The Dreaming Dark doesn't know what the next path will be, they just know that it WILL be an end to the current one, and to them.

Here's an alternative possibility: Perhaps every new cycle of Dal Quor begins with lightness and good, washed clean of the sins of the past - but then, as the darker dreams and nightmares of Eberron's living beings begin to build up within the plane, it gradually grows darker and more twisted, until once again it must be cleansed by the cycle of renewal.

Ooh, I like that! Imagine a kalashtar realizing this and deciding to wipe out all the dreaming races of Eberron once and for all, so that the next cycle can remain pure and clean forever. What an awesome villain that would make! Kinda ties in with my idea of kalashtar radicals seeking to cause an apocalypse on par with the destruction of the giant kingdoms, figuring that if it was good enough to turn the wheel of ages back then, it can do so again today. The destruction of Cyre/creation of the Mournland was a small-scale test of what they have in mind for all of Khorvaire.

I think it's also noteworthy that the quori who created the kalashtar essentially seem to be a suicide cult. Sure, it's probably not wise to look at inhuman entities from the standards of human psychology, but at least from a human perspective this does seem somewhat unhinged.

And what will happen to the kalashtar if the Age does turn? Will their quori partners survive? I doubt it - after all, no quori from the last age seem to have survived, despite all their attempts. If their quori partners leave, will the kalashtar turn into ordinary humans? Or will their minds be shattered as well?

I wonder how many kalashtar are asking these questions...

Also note that, according to Explorer's Handbook, weapons dating to the giant/quori war commnly have the evil outsider bane quality.
