Bekha gives the concern dwarf a smile. "I wasn't hurt to bad, just a bruised rib probably." she says as she looks over herself for any other injures. When she sees her bloody and gore covered boots, the smile turns to a grimace. "Don't think my boots survived the encounter though."

As Templeton gives the torture room a good look over, he finds only one thing interesting. A secret door hides a set of iron rings inside the southern most column. The hollow structure is cramp and looking down as best he can he sees no tunnel only a small dark crawl space leading south.

Aridha fumes angrily, tossing the little fire spirit back and forth between her hands.

"I should have changed...I could have fought those things better. I just...we need a better way of lighting things up! I can try to heal some of those injuries, but I don't have a lot of magic left."

On seeing Templeton peering at something, the young druid pauses near him. "What's that?"

“I’m sure ye got some magic fer those boots,” Emmyr soothed Lady Rebekah. “Or I’ll get ye a new pair. We got the coin.”

The dwarf looked to Aridhe. “If ye like, I s’pose I cuild carry a torch fer ya, though I’d be doon an axe. What’d ye find, ratcatcher?” he asked Templeton.

"Lookie here!" Templeton points to the base of one of the pillars. "Scrape marks! I'll bet me last copper that..." he finished the sentence by pushing on the pillar. the whole thing shifted on a pivot, scraping the floor as it did, revealing an entranceway to a tunnel below.
 


Rana sniffs at the pillar and tight tunnel with a grimace. "Phaw! I don't think what we are looking for is down some old escape tunnel. But if you children wish to go crawling in the mud, who am I to stop you."

Everyone gets the feeling climbing down there and crawling through the small tunnel is something the old witch is very unlikely to do.

OOC: Short rest then... I should have used some warlock spells while I NPC'ed the witch.

Emmyr moved to the tunnel to peer down it. “Ye gaein’ t’ stay up ‘ere by yer lonesome, then?” he asked. He looked over to Rebekah. “Mebbe milady wuild like t’ stay wi’ ye, where ‘tis safe?”

"Don't we have some other way down? This will be death of us if there are archers downthere waiting to shoot into narrow corridor. Or a mage with lightning bolt." Zanword is not happy with this choice.

He concetrates briefly, trying to detect presence of fiends or undead in the passage. Regardless of the result...
"There is evil to be smote downthere now or later. If there is no other way down, let me in."
