ECL for a Silver Dragon

Question for somebody with the Draconomicon...

I know that the ECL isn't covered in the book (which I don't own yet), but is it possible to figure out the ECL for a Young Adult Silver Dragon? (say age 51).

Any information on creating such a character would be appreciated.

This is just a guess (I do not have the book), but I'd say the LA would be +7, so the ECL should be about 26.

On a side note: I'm not a fan of the ECL system for making PCs. They tend to make PCs that are too powerful, yet have too few hps and die too often.

How's he too powerful then? He may be able to dash out more damage per round, but he can't stay as many rounds cause he must flee to lick his wounds. Just like a rogue: devastating sneak attacks, but you're not to stay to long.
