*smirks* You only dodged cause I wasn't aiming. In any case for other higher ELC races, (trying to get the thread back on track), there's always tritons. They aren't too bad...

Tritons I had thought of but they are still a fish outta water when you do the "boat and landwalking thing" and I wanted to do both. as I saw it my 2 best options were to either plar a 1/2 merefolk ECL +0 basicly a human that can breathe under water ie: Waterworld or a 1/2 Merrow - take a hit on the BAB and feats but gain other goodness

Yeah well it's the best elemental type I could come up with. Mephits might work..but they are so dang small, barely worth it. Kua-toa, not really that good overall. A Marid would be fun...but WAY too high an ELC...unless the DM did some serious nerfing.

I understand that. But those were just some suggestions I had off hand. Short of you being plane touched elementally speaking, be hard for you work in both land and sea environs without some use of magic items or lots of spell usage.
