Edition Idol Semifinals

I have had an enjoyable game session playing these Editions.

Okay, I will be altering the thread based off some Feedback. Having established a rough consensus on what is D&D to a significant plurality of EN World. This round isn't about the definition of D&D but rather about what you have had a good time actually playing.

This will be live till Wednesday.

FWIW, while I am a 4E fanboy I am pretty much expecting 4e to get destroyed in the finals. I think it will be gone the first week actually. The questions for there will wipe it out because people don't have any "history" with it yet.

Wow. It's early, but 2e taking a lead? Wouldn't have suspected that.

Wonder if "never had enjoyed it because I never played it" and lots of folks never played 1e is a big factor here.

Yes, it will get destroyed because it's been out for a far shorter period of time than the others. It's because of the way you've posed the question.

For instance, while I certainly consider 4E to "be D&D", I haven't actually played a session yet. So I can't include it in my answer to this poll.

Are you going to change the question each round? I'm assuming yes, since otherwise there would be no point in having multiple rounds.

But what is the point? Changing the question each round isn't really "fair", since not all editions get exposed to all questions.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

The question posed in this poll is rather strange... what is it supposed to measure?

I've voted for all editions except OD&D and B/X... simply because I've never played them. I certainly had at least a good session with all the versions that I've played, but this doesn't mean that I like them all equally...

Yeah, the question is weighted against oD&D and 4e, probably the least played versions of D&D at this point. That said, I got to vote for each option. While I'd not go back to most of them, I did enjoy them more than not when I played them.
