Edwyd's Pie Parade Brigade II [DM: Rae] [Judge: Trouvere]

OOC: Rae, you did an excellent job parsing my previous post and summarizing my intentions so well.

IC: After healing the wounded dog and stabilizing its health, Kaleva moves to the second injured dog, and uttering a praise to Chennet' lays his hand upon its injured form to provide it healing as well.

He rises, surveys the now somber audience and announces, "If these poor creatures have an owner, please come forward, or if you know that they have an owner please tell them what has happened here.

I will restore these creatures to full health, but first we must complete the delivery of THE PIE."

Kaleva removes two silver pieces from one of his many pockets and continue, "I will pay these two pieces of silver if these dogs are delivered to the Red Dragon Inn and watched over until we complete our escort. Is there any here that will accept this hire?"

Kalli rolls his eyes, muttering something about 'blasted dogs' under his breath as he paces by the cab.

Arthur turns to Kalli and says in a hushed voice :

"If they had an owner, I'm pretty sure their master would have done something about the beating."

At first nothing but silence fills the air, the hustle and bustle of neighboring streets still out of sight the only response to Kaleva's request.

Finally, after an awkward amount of time, a short, thin man emerges from behind a stall and points at a small wheelbarrow nearby. "I'll take yah silvah, if'n I can take 'em over in 'at."

"Thank you, that is agreeable. I will give you the one piece of silver now, and the second when we meet at the Red Dragon Inn."

Once everything has been arranged with the short, thin man, Kaleva returns to the cab and his companions, and once everybody in order again, continues the escort.

The man nods, takes his silver, and then carts over with his wheelbarrow.

The pie cab is ready for you, the driver outside, petting the horse's neck reassuringly. He gives you all a sour look as you climb in again, but he says nothing. The cab gets under way, and the "parade" continues, with absolutely zero followers at this point.

The cab hasn't traveled but one block when a large man can be seen jogging from the direction of the Red Dragon Plaza. Before long, it becomes apparent that the large man is none other than Edwyd Edwyd himself. He does not look happy.

A few feet away now, stopping in the light drizzling rain, he shouts, "Stop that cab at once! What have you fools done to my parade? It's about delicious baked goods, not bashing stray dogs to bloody bits! My reputation is ruined! I demand that you return my pie to me immediately!" He holds out his large arms expectantly, huffing and puffing with anger and exhaustion from running.

[sblock=Spot Check DC 23]Edwyd's voice is not how you remember it. In fact, yes, it's completely different. And his hair looks a little strange, almost like it's an animal crawling off his head... but Edwyd has a full, healthy head of hair.

You're pretty sure this is not Edwyd, whoever it is.[/sblock]

OOG: I'm going away for a long weekend. I probably won't post again until Tuesday.

Hey, I'm back from my trip and still around, just jet lagged like crazy. So I'll post soon, but not tonight.

Medina: Can Kalli make the spot check? If so, please roll!

"Well what did you expect us to do when attacked by dogs?" he demands of Edwynd. "Let them maul us to pieces or let them eat the pie? Seems to me you should knew there'd be trouble, that's why you hired us. You're just trying to get our of paying us our due."
