Effects of tariffs on game sales (e.g. US/Canada shipments) (No Politics!)

I was once told table top RPGs are the cheapest (or one of the cheapest) hobby per dollar out there. Is that still true with the tariffs ;)

I see tariffs were paused for a month. I always wonder about the unintended consequences of actions. Will the threat of tariffs or actual tariffs encourage more companies and their customers to go digital? I far prefer owning a physical book, but if prices are too high I'm certainly not above switching to digital. If I produced game books, I'd want to think about how I'm going to stay in business if I have supply line issues down the road.

...maybe i could start a career as a dashing rpg smuggler...

I already have - we don’t go up to Port Moody much but will be back.
Vancouverites seldom do! (I myself had no idea where Port Moody was until faced with opening my store there, being an East Van kid. Of course, that was over 30 years ago!)

Honestly, aside from the Skytrain, the biggest boon to my business (when it comes to getting people to come out to the suburbs) is the addition of all the good Craft Breweries! One of the guys that started either the first or second (I can't remember what order they opened in) brewery in Port Moody used to play D&D with me at my store (This is all a long time ago now. I can't even remember if that was 3.5 or 4e days).

But yeah, thanks for making the trip out!
