Eladrin soldier feat question

This may have been asked before but i didn't see it. The feat Eladrin Soldier states you get prof. with all spears and you get a +2 feat bonus to damage rolls with all longswords and spears. Is this mean if you damage someone with a longsword you get 1d8+2 damage plus Str damage or 1d8+str+2, Example: I do brute strike and hit do i get 3[1d8+2]+str or 3[1d8]+2+str? With that said if I crit is it 11 damage+str?

A damage roll is considered all of your [W]s and the modifiers added together, not each individual throw of the dice for [W], so you get (all the damage you would normally get)+2. In the Brute Strike example you'd get 3d8+2+Str.

3d8+STR+2 (+weapon plus if it's magic, etc.). Only the weapon dice are multiplied with powers that do more than one [w].
