[ELH] Manyshot and Haste

I agree with you.

What do you think of using the above rule and allowing it to be used with shot on the run? Normally it can't be, but I think in conjunction with the above rule it would fit with shot on the run.

I'd be inclined to allow it. When I first read the feat it almost seemed like half the point of it was to make for more effective Shots on the Run. But then you read the fine print and see that its a Standard Action, which they probably just felt forced to label it as since if it was an "attack" then you'd have high level characters making four Manyshots a round.

Allowing it with Shot on the Run sure doesn't break anything. Right now Manyshot lets you take all of your attacks in one shot and then move, and if that's feasible it would make sense for it to work with SotR. Shot on the Run itself requires two pretty weak feats as prereqs so that's four feats just to do Manyshots on the run. If someone decided to spend that many, I think they should be able to do it.

Fer what it is worth, I don't nessesarily think manyshot is broken. Bent maybe but not broken. With rapid shot ya kin fire off up ta 5 arrows, so yer losin' one whole attack when ya go with manyshot. Plus the whole precision based damage stuff only applyin' ta one arrow, and the whole 30' range thing. Improved manyshot, well technically grants you as many attacks as ya feel like levelin' up ta git. Course it only starts really gittin' messy when git ta high levels. Compare it with whut spell casters can do at say 50th level and it really don't look all that bad. (can you say multispell boys and girls?)

So at really high levels melee is simply nonexistant?

Everyone is slinging spells or shooting arrows?

WEll, by then the melee fighters are hitting things one and having them make a fort save or die.

Or hitting everything in range. Several times. With a truckload of dice each. And possible save or die. Every single round.
