Elisha Cuthbert to play Sue Storm in 'FF'

Latest rumor has it that Ioan Gruffud (Lancelot in the upcoming King Arthur) is lined up for Reed, but those same rumors have Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, Rachel McAdams as Sue Storm and the usual Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm.
Ioan Gruffud is also known for this role as your H. Hornblower on the A&E channel, he is good.

Well, it seems almost all of the sci-fi genre new site have confirmed the studio have signed three of the Fantastic Four roles. As state before, they're Michael Chiklis ("Ben Grimm"), Ioan Gruffud ("Reed Richard"), and Chris Evans ("Johnny Storm").

The rumor mill is still spinning now that they've added Jessica Alba to the candidate list for the Susan Storm role. Like Elisha Cuthbert and Rachel McAdam, she's too young, IMHO.

Personally, I'd like to add Poppy Montgomery of Without a Trace.

Honestly, I couldn't care about Johnny, either. :] But Susan Storm is the only leading female character.

But they have to do it right. After all, Fantastic Four is about a team. If they want to do a Human Torch movie (my best recommendation: the Original), then leave the FF to someone else.

It'll be interesting to see Ioann in FF. I love him in Hornblower, but I've always considered the FF to be a pretty chipper, optimistic bunch -- sort of my ideal marvel four-color people, along with the classic Avengers. (Not saying that's accurate today or overall throughout the history -- just that that's been my perception from when I was a kid.) I don't know if Ioann is, I dunno, happy enough to be Reed Richards.

And yes, as mentioned, everyone seems pretty young. It's like the WB's Fantastic Four.

I know. It is so wrong. Like we're going to have astronauts as young as 18, and scientists who graduated from college at 14. :]

I mean, what's next? The next US President that barely meets the minimum age requirement of 35?

* looks at John Edward *

Oy vey!

You do realize Edwards is 51 years-old, right?
He just got the Dick Clark genes or something...

Good ol' Kim. I'm actually not all that outraged, though I do wish we could have a mature FF, and leave Reed with his grey temples.

I know it's not really a nice thing to say but at least she looks older than she really is... :\

John Edward is the guy on TV who claims to talk to dead people.
John EdwardS is running for VP. And he's not going to be pres (at least before 2013) unless Kerry both wins AND dies/resigns/is impeached.
