Elves of Alfheim...

Scribble

First Post
Last night I was sitting in my livingroom waiting for Entourage to come on, and I glanced at the shelf and saw my copy of the Elves of Alfheim. I pulled it out and started reading through it...

I forgot how much I liked that sourcebook...

Admitedly, part of it is nostalgia, but still... I haven't really detailed the elven kingdom in my homebrew yet, so I think I might steal some ideas from that book.. :p

I use old stuff all the time in my games. A dwarven kingdom from a roleaids supplement, planar info from the 1e manual of planes, monster descriptions from the 1e MM and 2e Monstrous Manual, Chaos lords from Warhammer, dragonlance adventures deity descriptions, etc.

Gazeteers are absolutely awesome for throwing in a different setting in the same world. I gotta say it's one of the best places to steal from for various areas of adventuring.

i use newer stuff like this all the time.

but i mostly just end up converting bits and pieces of it for the OD&D campaign
