Elves - which color?

Which color graph bar would you use for elves?

  • Yellow is the only choice in this poll.

    Votes: 19 32.2%
  • I'd prefer red for elves.

    Votes: 8 13.6%
  • Elves should be represented by blue.

    Votes: 32 54.2%

Wow, a postmodern poll...

We're not expressing preferences, but showing how we wish our preferences expressed

(...okay, I'm dizzy now...)

Driddle, what's the point of this poll?

I'm asking because I have to close polls that are silly, off-topic or both.

You don't have to, ya know. Be your own person! Stand up to da man!

But seriously(?), as has already been hinted at, it's a self-referential post-modern poll. I've posted similar polls on other message boards (topics ranging from fencing to politics to religion), and I can say without without any reservations that you folks here at EN World are the only group creative enough to catch the paradoxical color switcheroo in the graph. ... Red results pointing to blue? Blue to yellow?! ...

Gawd bless us all. The rest of the world is a dull grey by comparison.

Or grass. Or trees. Blue hints at water, which IMO, doesn't fit the more chaotic nature of Elves.
You don't think water is chaotic? Grass strikes me more as lawful, since I think of it as uniform. Water, with its currents and undercurrents, the flow of which never being able to be quite predicted... seems chaotic IMO. Now, brown might be chaotic, too, since the tree trunks often have gnarls and such. Although some trees are grey.

My homebrew uses a somewhat modified Celtic view on the elements. Water and Earth are more Lawful, with Air and Fire being more Chaotic. Funny, I can't completely explain it all that well, but the elements aren't really all Lawful or Chaotic, just lean towards one more than the other. I was tempted to have Water as N, but something was needed to balance Air. (Don't ask...brain all fried from stress and can't explain things well at moment)

Ah, didn't vote so I didn't see the colors. :) Well, I suppose this poll is okay then, but GD is not the correct forum for it. *swoosh*

Sounds cool. Y'know, the Japanese include Spirit as an element. Maybe that's your N?

I voted blue because I wanted the yellow bar. But now I am wondering if I really wanted blue because I voted for the yellow bar.

That might be a little too complecated to think about. Hmmm, I will translate it to elvish then back to english.

I desire sky because I love dead leaves. But this century I am dreaming if I really love water because I went to the golden stick.
