Plus thread. Keep the fighting and bickering in the other threads. This is some light-hearted black humor. Nothing more.

It’s the far-flung future of 2026 and Elon Musk has finalized the purchase of Hasbro, WotC, and D&D.

What settings would we see published and how would they be changed?

I’ll go first.

Dark Sun makes a triumphant return to life…

Only now the sorcerer-kings are the good guys, actually. They did nothing wrong. Despite the multiple genocides, slavery, and ecological collapse of the planet.

You play templars dedicated to pursuing the interests of your sorcerer-king at all costs and by any means necessary. You ruthlessly climb the power structure of the sorcerer-king’s servants in the hopes of someday licking the big guy’s boots.

Big bonus points if you can find an emerald mine he lost a few centuries ago.

Faerun brings back the Wall of the Faithless. All detractors of the new over-deity EM are put there.

Lantan gnomes start shipping rectangular horseless carriages to the mainland.

Talos is renamed Tesla, and forced to build shrines to empower these horseless carriages.

The Sword Coast of the Forgotten Realms is not longer the focus of the end of the world. No more Tiamat or elemental cults threatening destruction. No more flock of giants or crash of demons bubbling up from the underdark. The economic transformation allows for prosperity for the peasants and townsfolk, but makes for a poor game for adventurers.

Capitaland. It has a Mars colony and electric jetpacks. The PCs get to play billionaires, which is nice, because everyone else's rights are limited to working for minimum wage and then signing over partial ownership of all purchases to the billionaire class (which, yes, is an actual character class). It's sort of like a new Right of Prima Nocta, but the proles are cool with it because they really only buy things to get the cosmetic unlocks that come with them in the Metaverse.
