Emerald Press, a d20 PDF publishing company, is currently looking for allies in our quest to bring great gaming material to a thirsty public. We are looking for highly motivated, professional individuals looking to gain attention in the d20 gaming community and make a name for themselves. In short, we want to be able to say: “Do you see that writer/artist/editor? He used to work for Emerald Press. He used to work for us.”
Layout Artist – 1 position available
We are currently looking for a layout artist to handle an upcoming workload that will include up to 15+ products over the next two years. While experience would be an asset, it is not necessary but skill and capability are. All layout artists receive 5% of the selling price for all copies sold of each project they are attached to and are also encourage to help out with other projects such as Emerald Night, our sister site, and their seasonal publication, Emerald Night Quarterly. All candidates are highly encouraged to be creative individuals who can work within pre-set guidelines established in our line of previously released titles (mainly our Campaign Options sourcebooks). Candidates with excellent artistic skills are also highly sought.
All candidates will be asked to complete a Layout Trial, in which a ten-page submission must be drafted and formatted to particular conditions, such as font size, number of artwork pieces to be inserted, border art, etc. All candidates will be given the same material and will be required to complete the task within a one-week deadline. All final decisions will be made based on individual merit rather than a compilation of different candidates.
