Emmerich wins right to Asimov's Foundation

Since Foundation is probably even less adaptable into film than I, Robot is, I seriously doubt this is going to be very faithful or remarkable.

Foundation is unfilmable.

Not to mention so hopelessly dated of a read that is it almost too much to get through. This is a book that has not aged well; other writings of the same era of fared better...

Poor, poor Asimov. First, I Robot which basically was the anti- Asimov's Robot stories movie (the whole point of the 3 laws was to get past robots as a menace). Now Roland Emmerich gets his grubby hands on Foundation.

I don't think it would be that difficult to update it, but not in Emmerich's hands...

I will never forgive them for their Overgrown lizard movie.
