Empire of the Petal Throne PbP: Tome of Wonderous Deeds (Rules and OOC)

Well I'm new to D&D and I've never heard of the setting before. But If your willing to put up with that I'm interested.

I'm thinking either an archer, a warrior-priest, or a sorceror depending on what everyone else makes.

I can generally post 2-3 times a day (although most games I'm in can't seem to keep up with me :D ) so I can certainly post often enough.

Ok here is a list of who is interested.

Cannibal_Kender

rangerjohn
Drakknyte32
Paxus Asclepius

All of you will start a members of the White Crystal clan in the city of Solatos in eastern Tsolyanu. If you are non-human. you have resently bought your membership in the clan.

You have to come up with how you know each other. I will open a thread in the rogues gallery for you to post your characters.

I'm putting together a Cleric of Karakan with the domains of War and Healing.

Are those two domains okay?
What is the favored weapon of Karakan?

Read the fourth post of the thread again. One there are no clerics, I think you mean a priest. Second Int is the spell casting attribute. Now with the generic classes there might be a feat for domains, I'm not sure.

Drakknyte32,
Yep, RangerJohn is correct. There are no "cleric" class in this game as I am using the Generic Class rules from Unearthed Arcana. The setting is alittle different from regular D&D 3.5. I am betting that you don't have Unearthed Arcana. But thats ok. I can help you build a character. It looks like you want to run a Warrior Priest type character. Which would be great. Maybe multi-classing Warrior/Spell Caster. I can either send you some info on the Generic Class rules or I could build it myself with imput from you. What do you think? I have a pretty good idea from the character that you have posted in the rogues gallery.

Still room for one more?

I'm looking at either a human or Pe Choi, highly aristocratic, taking only the Expert class and focusing on social skills; if Pe Choi, I'd probably also take the Spell feat a number of times.

The Generic Classes: (almost everything)

When choosing a class you may choose which saves are good and which are poor. The # of good/poor saves is stated by the class. You may also choose your class skills. All classes get bonus feats, you may choose some class features of the standard classes as bonus feats.

Expert: d6; medium base attack; two good saves, one poor save; class skills: any twelve plus Craft and Profession; skill points: 6+Int mod; All simple weapons, one martial weapon, light armor; bonus feats:Lvl 1,2,4,8,12,16,20

Spellcaster: d4; poor base attack; one good save, two poor saves; class skills: any four plus Craft, Knowledge (all), and Profession; skill points: 2+Int mod; One simple weapon, no armor; bonus feats:Lvl 1,5,10,15,20; spellcasting as Sorcerer, fewer spells per day, select spells from cleric, druid, and sor/wiz lists; choose if you are arcane or divine spellcaster - arcane uses Int or Cha, divine uses Wis; you may multiclass between arcane spellcaster and divine spellcaster

Warrior: d10, good base attack; one good save, two poor saves; class skills: any six plus Craft; skill points: 2+Int mod; All simple and martial weapons, light and medium armor, shields (not tower shield); bonus feats:Lvl 1,2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20

The DM probably shouldn't apply multiclassing penalties.

From the UA preview thread. Triilobite, could you post the feats from the book granting class abilities. Thanks.
