EN World Members: D&D / D20 Bragging Rights

Well I think Enworld needs to take a lot of credit as well for spurring on the community to write, produce good works as well as brainstorming grounds. So EricNoah, when you look at the hordes of d20 publishers, think to yourself, "I'M TO BLAME! I'M TO BLAME!" ;)

Ummm I had three creatures in the original Fiend Folio - the Stunjelly, the Qullan and the Shadow Demon... the last of which turned up in one of the Deserts of Desolation adventures.

I got within a gnats whisker of publishing a sci-fi RPG, then the web happened and I just decided to publish it on the web instead. I might try a d20 conversion of it one day, but marriage has dramatically reduced the amount of time available for those kinds of projects!

(OK, you could probably label me "wannabe" :))

Cheers

I was the one who coined the phrase, "Pardon my French." Back in 1998 I mentioned to Peter Jackson that Lord of the Rings "might be a good idea for a movie."

Okay, I don't have much power on this site, but the first person who cracks that stupid, "I invented the internet joke" is going to have to pay for Asgard magazine issues from now on. I'm warning ya.

I didn't invent the internet, but I won the popular vote, dammit.

Jumpin juniper berries you're not a wannabe! YOU rock! I love the Quillan and have already converted them to 3E. I use them all the time. My players always think they got cool swords and then find out there, uh, not.

Ok, and for the few of us who haven't been published, what do you think -- if you see a product out there on a shelf, and it has some work in it by Scott Greene or Claudio or someone like that who comes from "our community" does that make you want to buy the product? It totally does for me...

If I know the person (by their post/knick).

There are a number of posters that support the community with well thought out comments, rules, ideas that if I see their names on a product I will pick it up, or at least give it a major look.

I have no fame at this time but in the past I have been a playtester for WFRP (Ken Rolston's magic system that was never published) and submitted to be published in Dungeon (no luck).

So true! New comers may not know what EN World has done to support the early days of D20, nor how many companies visit here and listen to the fan base.
