EN World Picnic - GenCon 2007 - Sunday, August 19th, 10am - ? (UPDATED 7/24)

The Gelflings and I will try and make it, but have no idea when. Most likely around lunchtime for a well-deserved break! IIRC, Hound will be running a Warhammer 40K RP game Sunday morning, but we might get him over for some food.
I would like to suggest that it could be a fun thing for peeps to bring whatever food leftovers they have in their coolers to share. I know last year we had an extra loaf of bread and a jar of goobergrape, for example.
Not a bad idea. Since many people will be leaving, it gives people a good chance to get rid of some leftovers while adding to the picnic. :)

I just realized that I have nothing scheduled on Sunday so I think I'll plan to hang out at the picnic for most of the day so that I can catch up with any of those who I didn't get to chat with enough otherwise. It'll be downright relaxing!

They're just kids. We can take em.

Interesting, DW. If I remember correctly, they had something going on last year, too, but it was away from the road (there was a line of porta-potties on the other side of the park that some of us used). Perhaps this even will be set up there, as well and the end of the park that we were at last year will still be free.

I'll be heading over after exercising (with whatever other EN Worlders/CMers are up for a stroll) and see if anyone is setting up for this other event. Worst case scenario, we get booted and drag our sorry asses back to the "Party Block" at the Embassy.

Heck, the overbearing heat may push the weakest of the group back there anyway (where I'm sure, Nanook of the north...err...Teflon Billy will be waiting with open arms, since he's allergic to the Indy climate). If we end up having a morning part, instead of an evening party, maybe will give the hotel staff aneurysms.

Maybe it'll thunderstorm...

Either way, if we play it by ear and take the approach that the "Party Block" will be our backup, I think we'll be okay, regardless of weather or events. Like Rel said, we can take them...that may be the best plan. Take their food and games and save ourselves the hassle of hauling stuff to the park. :D

Now that we have a good estimate for people, I have to start making a list and contacting those who may be of assistance.
