Enchantress Prestige Class?

Hi all,

A friend of mine is building a female human wizard specializing in the Enchantment school, and he's looking for a good prestige class to work towards.

Can anyone recommend any with an enchantment flavor?

Thanks!

Hmm, there are several mage specific prestige classes, but enchanter/enchantresses are basically defined as individuals who take a specialism in the school of Enchantment (defined in the PHB). I don't care too much for some of the "special" prestige mage classes, not until lvls 6+ at least. If I were you, I'd recommend your player, if they want to specialize in enchantment, to take enchantment as her school of specialization (not required, but the bonus spell slots aren't too bad). Prestige classes shouldn't necessarily be taken off-hand, but can. Let your PC get a feel for the wizard class (via the Enchanter specialization) before dumping in a prestige like Red Wizards, etc... Then again, there are stat requirements a PC must meet to take some as a pres., but DM's rule is final.

There are several PrCs in the Realms. The main book has the all purpose Arch-Mage (always a good choice but only availible at high levels). Magic of Faerun (sp?) has the Incantrix which specializes in Metamagic so this would work well with an enchanter specialist. My personal favorite and what I am working towards myself is a devine enchanter cross breed called the Mystic Wanderer also found in MoF. It is a divine caster that picks up charm spells and relies heavily on Charisma. Hope this helps.

I was looking for one that fit my wife's concept, and couldn't find any.

I collected Enchantress-type home-made PrC's for a few months, gave up, and modified one to make a War Fan wielding enchantress PrC.
Check out here.

I also have about 3 other treatments of a seductress/enchanter-type PrC at home.
Let me know if you want me to post them.

Thanks!

Thanks very much to all who responded... I had forgotten about Monte's Eldritch Might books, and the Diplomancer may be the closest to what my friend is looking for.

I also thought the War Fan Enchantress was really cool, though I'm not sure if our DM will allow a non-official PrC. I would like to see the other three enchanter type PrCs you mentioned, if it's not too much trouble to post them, reapersaurus.
