Encounter CR Forumla?

Does anyone know what the calculation/formula is for calculating an encounters 'level'? EG: You have 2 'CR 2' Creatures and a CR 5 creature. What would the total CR of the Encounter be? Something that would calculate all the variations and return the CR

Yes, check out this thread for a fairly recent discussion on the subject. I'm trying to find enough time to put it into code, too.
