Perkiss leads the group out of his office and unlocks another door nextdoor. He steps in and is instantly greeted by a series of squarks and chirrups and hisses. The room is filled with hutches which appear to contain young or injured animals - which are obviously being cared for many of these are non exotic creatures such as cats and pidgeons.

The workshop has a large stout wooden table in the center, equipment is haphazrdly strewn around the various surfaces, though it all seems clean. Perkiss moves over to and unlocks a large cabinet, which now contains a few potions, cleary it could hold hundreds more.

"Well this is it, not much to see really."

After the group searches the office they discover a pile of rags stuffed under the cabinet. One of the rags appears to have been a part of a black cloak and smells strongly of cinnamon.

"Found that after the robbery, used it to clean up." Says Perkiss unconcernedly. "Should have mentioned it I suppose, the watch said they couldn't tell anything from it."

"Well, to tell you the true, it's oddor may prove to be a good clue, would you mind me taking it?" Ciprinus asks.

OOC: "...and put the rag in a sealed plastic bag for a DNA test" It's too easy to be detective these days...

"Well good sir Perkiss, I think we have finish here, thanks for you help, and for caring about these noble animals. If you don't mind, I'll like to make a contribution, I know it's not much, but it's what a honorable druid can get." Ciprinus handed Perkiss 10 gold pieces. "Take good care of Heraldo" he says as he leaves.

Reis looks up from his thoughts and nods to the zookeeper. "If you don't mind, I've just got a few other questions for you." He ticks them off on his fingers as he talks. "First, what time did the robbery take place? Where and how did the thieves get in?" He pauses, thinking. "Oh, and what do you think of Fat Sal? I take it he knows you..." The half-elf shrugs. "If you don't know either of the first two, just tell me your best guess."

"Why thank you my boy! Incredibly generous of you, that will help many of the god's creatures I assure you." The old man says, evidently genuinely moved.

After Reis's questions Perkiss pauses and rubs the bridge of his nose as he thinks,

"Well the robbery must have taken place in the middle of the night, I can't tell you much more than that. If I heard any noise I probably just put it down to the animals messing about. As for Fat Sal, I don't have anything to do with that kind of riff raff, though I know of him."

His words ring true and he certainly has more credibility than the corpulent rogue Sal.

[sblock=Reis] You are pretty damn sure Perkiss is not being truthful, he does know Fat Sal, and as more than a casual acquaintance![/sblock]

Reis raises an eyebrow dryly. "And yet, he has claimed that he anticipates taking ownership of your menagerie should you fall into debt. How remarkable that you don't know him."

With a slight roll of his eyes, he rises and turns to his companions. "I'm ready to leave if all of you are."
