Enemy Among Us (DM: Stringbean2142, Judge: TwoHeadsBarking)

Bell eye's light up. That's so brilliant and perfect! Befriend the enemy pretending to be my friend so he thinks I'm an enemy which would be his ally. Not only would we gain a source of information but it's an excellent setup for later redemption of enemy pretending to be an ally, as by pretending to be an enemy he will find friendship and a source of heart in me! Bell could barely contain her glee as a smile spread from ear to ear. That would make Atlas my real mentor. . . and I would probably be Veruzak's mentor later! Neat!

She does not answer Atlas' question directly. Instead she forces a grim expression over her smile. She marches over to Veruzak taking her place on one side of a victim (practically bumping Martelai out of the way).

"Yes, yes. Lets get them inside."

[sblock=ooc]I was posting while Martelai was. So I'm going to go with Bell didn't hear you which is why she seems to be ignoring you're sound logic.[/sblock]

Thanks Bell. as Veruzak and Bell begin moving the bodies into the most secure room of the house, Veruzak explains, You would have to ask her Martelai, I'd prefer not to tell people who is in, and who is out.

The eladrin seems to be huffing a bit, he puts away his pipe, and begins using two hands. If this tentacle monster doesn't kill me, my asthma will. Martelai, I'm agreeing with you, mostly, and in front of the families I will refer to them as victims. However that doesn't change their current state, these are spare parts for Igors, there is nothing wrong with that truth. Their family may want a more sensitive touch though... If we had a wagon, dragging them into town would be perfect. Veruzak takes a glance around, I don't see one, so the next best thing, is to make sure if more of these mindless killers come along, they can't get to these helpless and restrained mindless killers, to untie them. That would create a small army that could potentially assault the main town on the island. It's already happened once, and we should try to prevent a reoccurrence. Veruzak pauses trying to gauge if Martelai has been listening.

I assume that's the only reason Bell is helping...

"I am helping for the same reason already expressed." Bell responded holding an indignant tone. "While I have a desire to help these people, considering the aggression and numbers of the last attack, I think bringing both them and ourselves back to town is a bit of an invitation for the town to be attacked. It seems to me that as long as both us and them are not they're the townspeople have a better chance of being safe. We should be the far higher targets."

She breathed out as they put one person down and went for another.

"While I think it wiser to try and rest here before pursuing the creatures, I don't think it wise to split this group any further. Which means whether we rest or not these people must be secured here. Wether they are being secured for future necromancy or for their own safety can be left for later debate."

"Well, it's true we don't have a cart, but maybe they could walk if prodded. Assuming they don't become murderous again. However, Bell also has a point. We were attacked over much more potential targets in the city. So we are clearly making an impression. Therefore, we leave them here and inform Yurian.

I don't mind bodies being used for Igors, I just dislike the name for still breathing bodies. I'll go outside to look at some stars.

Oh, and Bell? Are you member of the ciphers? One of us?"

Martelai leaves, finds a good spot and starts drawing star diagrams with strange symbols in the middle. If one looked really carefuly, he could see that middle symbols were stylized leaf in a circle, two circles intertwined, a square within a square, stylized church bell sounding, an ear with three wavy lines going in (or out) and stylized sword within a cloak. After creating new patterns for each symbol, he draws all symbols together in a star and then draws the diagram again. Occasionally, he checks small book he is carrying.

OOC: TwoHeads, you didn't answer where is the coast in regards to our current position.
OOC2: It will fit very well to Nell's theory about Veruzak when he leads us directly to the beast thanks to his 'sense' which none of us share :)
OOC3: it may look like a ritual of some kind, but Martelai is simply making a horoscope for each party member and one for the group as a whole

Kendrick is completely indifferent to the discussions over the bodies/prisoners/drones/victims/meat

-''Uh. So what are we doing now? Do we try to track down the source of this hell and squash it? Because if we do, it doesn't matter if we leave these guys naked with bells around their neck or tied up like sausage and roll them into town. We shut down the overmind and they'll all just drop dead or wake up as from a bad dream. So, let's just focus on finding that thing already. Veruzak, how soon can we be on the hunt?''

A smile parts the lips of the eladrin, The donor bodies don't become Igors, the Igors just use the parts to improve themselves. Lose an arm in an explosion, replace it, eyes perma-blind from a radiant spell, replace them. It's really rather mundane. Exemplary medics. Veruzak follows Martelai out along with Bell, to finish moving the last thing into the room. Stepping out with the rest of the group Veruzak notices Martelai's work. Have you met 7 Rabbit, if not, I must arrange an introduction. Your work may well benefit from his, and vice versa.

Kendrick suddenly brings the group back to focus, *Good motivation, I like this guy more and more. Real go getter. Must remember him for Handy work later...*

I could be ready to go now, or in 4 and a tenth hours, be fully prepared. Is anyone opposed to setting off with all haste?
