Hey, were you guys ever promised a specific amount as a reward? I'll only accept outlandish responses if they are accompanied by a confirming quote from Stringbean.[/sblock]
You eventually make your way to the coast, where you are met by a chill wind and gray skies. The beach is mostly sandy, although on one end there are a series of rocky tide pools leading up to a cliff side. Even a cursory inspection of the sand reveals that there has been a lot of foot traffic recently, although currently the only things you hear are the waves and the cries of seagulls.

As you approach the pools, you quickly see what has grabbed the gull's attention. Kendrick was right. A vicious battle took place here not too long ago, and the losing side was hacked to pieces. The bodies have weathered skin and are heavily tattooed. You also see a cave entrance in the cliff wall. Closer investigation shows that there was fighting here too. There are also a number of crates just inside the cave, and while most of their contents have either been destroyed or would never of held much interest, there are a few items left that catch your fancy. Namely, a couple potions and a suit of armor which has a blueish tint to its silvery overlapping plates.

The cave goes deeper into the earth, but you will probably want some source of light if you want to go farther.

"This does not sit well with me." Bell says uneasily as she moves among the body. "These bodies do not look like townsfolk to me and this wounds were done with blades. That means well armed, crazed people. Perhaps part of this very group."
She steers down the dark entrance. "Anyone have a lantern or everburning torch? Veruzak I assume you can cast light on someone's weapon as well. Perhaps Atlas."
