[sblock=ooc] Didn't realize Atlas was wielding a light shield. That works for me. [/sblock]

"Seems a fair solution." Bell says with a shrug. [sblock=I didn't say this]"Mr. Kent and I should scout ahead of the group a bit. With my light it shouldn't be hard for everyone else to keep about fifty paces behind." [/sblock] Bell waits for the rest of the group to be ready, assuming Atlas will don the armor.

While I'm not trained in Stealth my high dex puts me at a +4 where Kent is a +6. I figure 2 Perceptions, one with low-light vision is worth the risk of a having to make 2 stealth checks. I'd rather have one person up ahead than none at all.

Bell's also to only one equipped to disable a trap if need be, I believe.

So that would make marching order, if no heavily objects:

Bell, Kendrick

40-50 feet

Atlas, Catein
Martelai, Veruzak

OOC: Oh yeah. . . Which means scouts would really need to be farther than 20 squares ahead. This seems less sound. I withdraw my offer. Yall just tell me when you step on a trap.

Catein seems to have difficulty pushing its body through the sand of the beach. Upon reaching the cave mouth, it tries to find more rocky ground to stand on.

"I've been meditating since the end of our fight. I apologize if anyone has needed my assistance with anything. Shall we proceed into this cave and find more wrongdoers?"

While its face and voice is relatively emotionless, the chain-construct's body language could most accurately be described as "eager."

[sblock=Catein's status]
Catein: 26/28 hp, 7/9 surges, 1 AP, spent daily.

I'm very unsure if I found all of Catein's surge uses.

almost correct. He only has 27 hp max. He didn't spend any surges until Bell's Song of Rest.

Veruzak takes the time Catein, and the other have afforded him, to search th bodies casually. I'm not touching these things, they may carry all manner of disease... says the cautious wizard. Instead he stands still, as arcane tendrils reach out from his body, and begins searching the bodies and nearby area for arcane treasures.

As he searches the bodies he tries to place their origin and significance to the isles.

Veruzak will be bringing up the rear in any case for the marching order.

Atlas has been following the others in silence. He keeps telling himself that something is off; If the creature did indeed reveal it self and its location, all this could be a trap.

Walking the entire time with his weapons at the ready, he knew that the seagulls were a sign of ill news but luckily the pirates misfortune is to the groups advantage.
Upon finding the armor, Atlas eyes light up with curiosity and even more when Bell suggests he should be the one to acquire the item. " I would gladly accept it, if no one should oppose ". If no one objects, he equips the armor. " This is intriguing. It is an formidable armor, I wouldn't expect simple pirates to carry such treasures "

Atlas grabs Veruzak's offered sunrod " Thank you softling " he says dryly. He is clearly still upset with the wizard. He watches Veruzak intensively has he searches the bodies, finding his method to be odd and disturbing. When he is finished, the Genasi suggests that they should continue onwards, almost mimicking Catein eagerness.

Wow, nice armor. I would gladly accept it if no one objects?

Group formation?:

Atlas - Kendrick
Bell - Catein
Martelai - Veruzak

OOC: Veruzak is too squishy to go last, Martelai goes last keeping himself shrouded at all times (Shadow walk).
OOC2: doesn't every adventurer's pack come with two sunrods?

Martelai observes proceedings without much interest, both armor and manner of search of little interest to him. He is however interested in tatoos the pirates are marked with. He tries to recognize if particular band from Bacarte had it's stash here, thinking to sell the location or information about what happened next time he gets there. He walks around tide pools focusing on magical emanations trying to see if there was some kind of magical assault or are there traces of other magics and items in the area.

Streetwise; Arcana (1d20+9=24, 1d20+8=21)
