Enemy Among Us (DM: Stringbean2142, Judge: TwoHeadsBarking)

[sblock=ooc]I am slightly confused at who, now, wants to make two trips, or one. I think we need to decide, so we can move forward and finish up. It's not important to me, and if someone expressed a strong clear opinion, it wouldn't be that important to Bell either.

Right now it seems Bell and Atlas intend to do two trips.[/sblock]

While she was pretty sure that Veruzak had alterior motives, as agents of vil almost always do, she smiled at the good that the IAC would apparently do here. Even the Merchants of Baccarate have done some good I suppose.

When Martelai took her aside she listened carefully to his words. She still was not sure how corrupted he was. He may have been sucked into this under false pretenses, but something seems not quite good about him. Would I kill an innocent person?

"There is no hope only when they are dead." Was her simple reply. "I have no intention of taking away hope. How the family chooses is none of my affair. . . I suppose." It seemed a fair response but the idea of a family giving up on a loved one made her sad indeed.

Martelai, partly. Since he agreed IC to try everything possible to restore them (for publicity of course) Martelai would support him (scratching backs and all that ) :)

That said, I don't think we should have opposed challenge.

First one is challenge to restore the minds of the people. We all agreed to do it for various reasons. Next one could be opposed, but consider the fact that Veruzak can talk to Yurian and locals without heroic presences influencing people (he can stay behind awaiting IAC researchers or something) and thus would have challenge to his social skills to persuade the people to let go of their loved ones.

And if we succeed in returning them to their faculties then there is no challenge for the bodies.

Atlas whom has been busy helping Bell and ignoring Veruzak, turns to the others " The stretcher is done, now lets head to town and see what we can do to aid these unfortunate victims "
Note: If it is possible to carry everyone with them, let's do that

OOC: I am with Neurotic on this one, even though the other challenge CaBaNa suggested sounds cool.

Veruzak is going to help keep the bodies functioning, but not necessarily work toward restoring a personality.

Sustaining, and keeping the bodies healthy is his main goal.

[sblock=ooc]Alright, the skill challenge will be to restore the victims. What "restore" means in particular is up to you, but it won't be an opposed SC. I'll get the complexity and such to you tomorrow morning.[/sblock]

[sblock=Skill Challenge]"Restoring" the Victims:
DC 18, 10 successes before 3 failures.

The difference between Primary and Secondary skills is a little blurred here, and more a matter of how you use the skill rather than which skill you use. So roll and describe your action, and I'll interpret it the best I can.

edit: Also, you are able to take the people back to the town with your makeshift stretcher.[/sblock]

So we come to the town, start interacting and then you start the challenge?

Also, quite hard challenge, high DC and 3:1 ratio

If we succeed it will be quite heroic

[sblock=Skill Challenge]Well it don't have to be that hard. If we all work together and use aid another checks, we might succeed ;) [/sblock]
